Roger Federer celebrated his 1,000th career win at a haute soiree and a “Tiny Tennis” tournament hosted by Moët & Chandon and Zoe Saldana over the weekend.

Guests gathered in the Wetherly Gardens of the Four Seasons Beverly Hills and sipped on Moët & Chandon Impérial and Impérial Ice under twinkling lights while waiting for Federer to arrive. After he was introduced by Moet CMO Arnaud de Saignes, Saldana presented the tennis great (and Moet & Chandon Global Brand Ambassador) with a 15L bottle of Moet crystallized with “1000 Victories” on the front.

Comedian Heather McDonald then served as empire and emcee for a series of “Tiny Tennis” matches where Federer wowed the crowd with his prowess on the mini court in an exhibition match with doubles partner Saldana.

Stars like Kate Walsh and ESPN’s Jill Montgomery also bravely faced Federer on the court, while others attendees like Camilla Belle, Jessica LowndesJason Collins and Grant Chen (musician), watched on the sidelines.

The exclusive Moët & Chandon soiree kicked off the 2015 BNP Paribas Open, to be held March 9 – 22, 2015 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Moët & Chandon is the Official Champagne of the BNP Paribas Open for the first time this year and through this partnership, Moët & Chandon will join fans and spectators in raising a toast in celebration of the world’s largest ATP World Tour and WTA combined two-week.
