Over the busy weekend, marketing mogul Herb Karlitz had two big reasons to party. The CEO of Karlitz and Company hosted a star and chef-studded bash to celebrate NYC’s Citymeals-On-Wheels program and the 25th anniversary of his culinary marketing agency.
The exciting evening, held at Ginny’s Supper Club, featured over 150 guests and a number of stars including, Marcus Samuelsson, Francois Payard, Elizabeth Falkner, Scott Conant, Frank Pellegrino, Dino Gatto, and Alex Guarnaschelli.
Karlitz proved to be a giving host, offering his guests an open bar filled with 25-year old vintage wines and bottles of champagne sourced from his own personal cellar. The menu also included a number of signature cocktails, éclairs from Francois Payard, and meatballs from the Harlem eateries Rao’s and Red Rooster.
The evening’s festivities were for a good cause. Citymeals-On-Wheels, one of the nation’s largest meals-on-wheels programs, serves up two million meals to 18,000 elderly city residents. Before the night of drinking gnoshing was done, Karlitz presented a check to Citymeals Board Co-President Daniel Boulud and Director of Partnership & Events Robin Stein.
Karlitz also announced that the upcoming Harlem EatUp! Festival, which he co-founded with celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, will help benefit Citymeals-On-Wheels and Harlem Park to Park.
