Moda Operandi, world renowned for identifying and recruiting emerging talent from all over the world shows its support for Middle Eastern talent with a trunkshow that will showcase the latest collection of UAE designer and daughter of the Ruler of Fujairah, Madiyah Al Sharqi, on its website www.modaoperandi.com starting from 19 January 2015.
Moda Operandi’s trunkshows often completely transform a brand’s lifecycle, often bringing regional talent onto the international playing field. This partnership is a significant one as it sheds light on great talent from the Middle East and will be instrumental in bringing international recognition to a homegrown Emirati fashion label.
Al Sharqi’s latest collection is influenced by the period of the 1970s through elegant off-shoulder pieces, ruffles and billowing sleeves, drawing inspiration from her muse; Marie Antoinette. Her collection features an array of garments, from gowns to sleek separates by incorporating effortless silhouettes composed of a fresh color palette in lavender, peach, khaki and white tones.
Her custom use of layering fabrics such as jacquards, crepe and lace continues to be the signature of the brand within this collection, luxuriated with the use of embellishments composed of unique crystals and carefully selected stones.
Madiyah Al Sharqi’s trunkshow will be live on www.modaoperandi.com starting from 19 January and will be available for pre-order until 3 February 2015.
