There is certainly never a shortage of events in New York City, and several pop-up events are just around the corner. These gems can disappear before you knew they were there in the first place, so we rounded up six of the best pop-ups for the month of August. Here they are:

A.P.C. at the Wythe Hotel
80 Wythe Ave, Broklyn, NY 11249
The French retailer A.P.C. – the same retailer that debuted Kanye West‘s first line in July – will be at the Wythe Hotel through September 1st. Going for a travel theme, the pop-up shop is reportedly dishing out leather dopp kits, totes, suede iPad cases and an array of bags that are fit for New Yorkers. Look out for APC’s signature denim – it’s some of the best in town.
Fendi Pop-Up in SoHo
122 Greene Street, New York, NY 10012
Located at 122 Greene St. and open through December, Fendi’s Pop-Up in SoHo blends its retail with a chic, classy atmosphere. A grand chandelier illuminates the brick space, and the one-of-a-kind merchandise is displayed in vending machines with neon signs. The intimate setting showcases the details and craftsmanship of each and every Fendi product. With each month comes a new theme to the display, so be sure to check back in each time you are in SoHo.
Jeff Koons’ “Split Rocker”
30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10111
Open 24/7 through September 12th
“Split-Rocker” by Jeff Koons is on view at Rockefeller Center through September 12th. An ode to childhood, the piece is a flowering planted form over 37 feet high that features over 50,000 plants. Formerly exhibited at the Palais des Papes in Avignon in 2000 and the Chateau de Versailles in 2008, the piece is now stateside right here in Manhattan – a must see!
Olaf Breuning’s “Clouds”
Doris C. Freedman Plaza, Central Park, 60 Street & 5th Ave
March 4 to August 24
Located in Central Park through August 24, Olaf Breuning‘s “Clouds” towers 35 feet over the ground. Held among the trees of Central Park by rudimentary steel supports, the six bright blue clouds are made of polished and painted aluminum. Calling to mind child-like drawings of the sky, the work was inspired by some of Breuning’s stage photographs. The fictional scene borders the surreal and brings to mind the whimsical humor of everyday life. Don’t miss your chance to check it out while the weather is warm.
