CHEF MASH-UP TO KICK-OFF MIAMI SPICE 2014

Get your palette prepared because Chefs Brad Kilgore and Jose Mendin are about to preview their Miami Spice Creations at an exclusive one-night-only event at the oh-so-luxe St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort. On Wednesday evening, the first of a series of three mash-up’s will occur. Chef Brad Kilgore of J&G Grill at St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort will host visiting Chef Jose Mendin of the Pubbelly family of restaurants.  Together, the two will serve a six-course meal previewing menu items from their respective Miami Spice menus.  The meal will finish with a duo of desserts, one from Mendin the other from J&G’s pastry chef, Antonio Bachour.

Seating is limited to 40 attendees; reservations must be made in advance and can be done so by calling (305) 993-3333.

YOUNGARTS SALON SERIES AT THE YOUNGARTS CAMPUS

Launched through a grant from The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the discussion series brings together creative art luminaries and offers audiences an opportunity to engage with internationally recognized artists on the YoungArts campus in Miami.

On Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 6 P.M. 
“The Art of Collaboration,” featuring Justin Peck & Sufjan Stevens and moderated by Alberto Ibargüen, President and CEO of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, will take place at the 
YoungArts Campus’ 7th Floor Lounge

This Salon will feature renowned choreographer and New York City Ballet soloist Justin Peck, and singer-songwriter and musician Sufjan Stevens. The discussion on “The Art of Collaboration” and their recent work together, Everywhere We Go and Year of the Rabbit, will be moderated by Alberto Ibargüen, President and CEO, John S. and James L. JAMIE’S RESCUE AT THE STANDARD HOTEL

Coinciding with the Salon Series for YoungArts on Thursday evening, Jamie’s Rescue, a haven for abandoned and neglected puppies will be having it’s annual poolside event at the Standard Hotel on Miami Beach. Last year’s function was superb, and being that it is quite Haute outside, it is suggested you dress light and come with a open heart to take home a new pup.
