Smart celebrities don’t just use their famous faces to promote films these days: they use them to sell everything from beauty to bags to haute couture. Here, we’ve hand-selected nine of our favorite female celebs and the ad campaigns they star in. Talk about being ready for your close up…

I. GISELE BUNDCHEN FOR STUART WEITZMAN

Brazilian stunner Gisele Bundchen has just been named as the new face of Stuart Weitzman, replacing former three-time campaign star Kate Moss.  In the first released image from the fall 2014 campaign, which was shot by Mario Testino, the 33-year-old model poses topless wearing black stiletto booties and white jeans.

II. NICOLE KIDMAN FOR JIMMY CHOO

Nicole Kidman wows in Jimmy Choo’s pre-fall campaign, showing off her long legs by wearing only a blazer (and no bottoms). The Australian star has been the face of the U.K.-based fashion brand since last July.

III. MARION COTILLARD FOR LADY DIOR

Ooh la la! Oscar winning French actress Marion Cotillard leaps gracefully through the air to show off the iconic Raf Simons-designed Lady Dior handbag in the brand’s pre-fall campaign.

IV. JENNIFER LAWRENCE FOR MISS DIOR

Jennifer Lawrence and Miss Dior are a winning formula. The beloved actress has worn many a Dior dress to sashay down the red carpet – and even looks polished when she’s falling down in her designer gown. We simply adore her simple, flawless makeup in these spring campaign shots by Patrick Demarchelier for Christian Dior.

V. KATE MOSS FOR ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

Kate Moss always looks amazing, but we dig her fierce warrior look in Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2014 campaign. As shot by Steven Klein, the British supermodel and fashion icon embodies a King of Thrones-style queen in Sarah Burton’s black leather and gold warrior duds. Haute.

VI. LUPITA NYONG’O FOR MIU MIU

Clever Miu Miu to tap Lupita Nyong’o, this year’s Oscar-winning “It” girl for its Spring 2014 campaign—before she even won her little golden man! The Kenyan actress is also featured in the campaign with other stars on the rise including Elizabeth Olsen, Bella Heathcote and Elle Fanning.

VII. MICHELLE WILLIAMS FOR LOUIS VUITTON

It’s all about the bag for indie queen Michelle Williams, who wows in this Peter Lindbergh-shot campaign for Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2014 handbag collection. In the shoot, which was styled by none other than Carine Roitfeld, Williams shows off the brand’s Lockit, the Capucines, and the iconic Alma bags.

VIII. CHRISTY TURLINGTON-BURNS FOR MISSONI

Beauty has no age, as Christy Turlington-Burns proves in Missoni’s Spring-Summer 2014 ad campaign. The 45-year-old actress modeled the Italian brand in Tenerife as well as Spain’s Canary Islands by photographer Viviane Sassen.
