Haute 100 Update: Lee Brian Schrager Releases New Cookbook Fried & True
Founder and director of The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival and Haute 100 member, Lee Brian Schrager, is hitting a new medium with a cookbook, written alongside Adeena Sussman, that features over 50 recipes for his latest favorite food- fried chicken. The recipes in Fried & True come from a cross-country selection of the best southern chefs and restaurants; from Michelle Bernstein’s fried chicken and watermelon salad, to Dale Talde’s kung pao chicken wings, to Marcus Samuelsson’s Coconut Fried Chicken with Collards and Gravy, there is a recipe to please anyone and everyone’s tastebuds.
No two recipes are alike, and there is even a section for special diets that hits the spot for both gluten-free eaters and vegetarians.
The book has been out for less than a week and is already ranked #1 for both poultry and soul food on Amazon.
Now, he is working on two new projects: a cookbook on breakfast foods, Morning Glory, and a cookbook on doughnuts, Hole in One. If these upcoming projects are anywhere near as popular are Fried & True, they will be worth keeping an eye out for.
