Haute 100 LA Update: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Tie the Knot in Haute Style
After months of discussion an anticipation, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have finally wed. Their lavish nuptials, as expected, kept up with the couple’s typically opulent style.
The famous duo spent the week in Paris prior to their Memorial Day weekend wedding, where Kim’s friends including LaLa Anthony, Joyce Bonelli, Monica Rose, Brittny Gastineau and sisters Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie, threw her bachelorette party.
Their pre-wedding dinner was also a grand affair, as it was hosted at Versailles and included a performance from American chanteuse Lana Del Rey.
The party then headed to Florence, Italy, where the couple was married at Forte di Belvedere. Kim was walked down the aisle by stepfather Bruce Jenner before the duo exchanged Lorraine Schwartz wedding bands. The reality star wore a long-sleeved, lace-covered Givenchy wedding gown, but changed into an embellished Balmain frock for the wedding reception.
The two had their first dance as a married couple to a mash-up of classics, such as “At Last,” followed by “These Arms of Mine,” Tenderness,” and even a rap from the groom. John Legend also performed his no. 1 hit “All of Me”; the gourmet wedding meal was prepared by three-Michelin-star restaurateur Giorgio Pinchiorri.
The bride and groom then jetted off for the prerequisite over-the-top honeymoon in an undisclosed location in Europe after the Sunday affair.
