Gisele Bundchen has been named as the newest face of iconic fragrance Chanel No. 5.

According to a spokesperson for the French fashion house, the 33-year-old model was chosen for her natural beauty and modern femininity.

She is said to have shot her ad campaign in New York last week with Baz Luhrmann, the director of such big-budget films as The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge and Australia; he previously directed Nicole Kidman‘s 2004 “I Love to Dance” commercial for the brand.

The Brazilian supermodel is an apt choice to represent such an iconic fragrance; for the past seven years, she has been consistently named the world’s highest paid model. She is a familiar face for Chanel, as she is also the face of the company’s Les Beiges makeup.

Additional famous faces of the brand have included Brad Pitt and Audrey Tautou; screen goddess Marilyn Monroe can be credited for turning the perfume into a classic.
