Construction continues on The Cromwell, the new Las Vegas hotel set to welcome its first guests beginning May 21. The Cromwell will feature 188 rooms and suites, a 40,000-square-foot casino, hotel lobby bar, lounge and restaurant by television personality, celebrity chef and first-time restaurateur Giada De Laurentiis and game-changing rooftop pool, day and nightlife venues by Victor Drai.

The distinctive porte cochere continues to take shape at The Cromwell. This $185 million renovation of the former Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon features whimsical details of a boutique hotel including black Parisian-style awnings and ornate black railings, repurposed from the original structure, punctuating each room window.

Fun Fact: The gold and red chandeliers photographed above were refurbished and are the original fixtures from Barbary Coast.

The 40,000-square-foot casino continues to take shape. Architect Leo A. Daly and Las Vegas-based design studio Tandem Las Vegas designed The Cromwell to blend vintage with modern. The Cromwell will feature 66 table games, 440 slot machines and a reserved gaming salon.

The hotel bar and lounge, Interlude, with its centralized location and close proximity to nightlife, will serve as a social-inspired gathering place featuring cutting-edge mixology. A warm palette of red, gold and browns will fashion the sexy, intimate Interlude bar and lounge.
