Jessica Alba’s parenting skills are getting tremendous kudos: the mother of two is being honored at an upcoming gala as “Mother of the Year.”

The mother of two will be the guest of honor at Cedars-Sinai’s 85th Anniversary of The Helping Hand of Los Angeles Mother’s Day Luncheon on Friday, May 9th at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The 32-year-old Honest Company CEO has two daughters, Haven and Honor, with husband Cash Warren.

The event will also honor Dana Walden and Sheril Freedman as Mothers of the Year; it will be hosted by Emmy-winning news anchor Christine Devine.

The star-studded event will feature a luncheon, awards presentation and fashion show by Los Angeles based designer Margi Kent. All proceeds will benefit the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai.

Established in 1929, Helping Hand is the longest active support group at Cedars-Sinai. Helping Hand Gift Shop is staffed almost entirely by volunteers. For over eight decades, The Helping Hand of Los Angeles has raised over $23 million for the Cedars-Sinai Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Mother’s Day Luncheon and Fashion Show recognizes and applauds the contributions that mothers make to our lives, our community and most importantly, our families. The group is proud to comprise more than 1,800 members who have made women’s health the centerpiece of our efforts—and who imbue Mother’s Day with special meaning.
