The term “brunch” – a combination of the words “breakfast” and “lunch” became popular in the early 20th century after British journalist Guy Beringer rightfully stated that it promotes “human happiness.” It was originally meant for “Saturday night carousers” said Beringer in his article, which was originally published in Hunter’s Weekly. “[Brunch] is talk-compelling,” he wrote.  “It puts you in a good temper, it makes you satisfied with yourself and your fellow beings, it sweeps away the worries and cobwebs of the week.” We agree.
