New Dating Company Helps Single NYC Women Find Love

Ever feel like there are no single guys left in New York? So do the founders of Dating Ring, a new startup aimed at helping NYC ladies fall in love with California fellas.

Here’s how it works: On Memorial Day weekend a plane filled with single New York women will land in San Francisco for a four night stay that includes three dates, two parties and three private 30-minute matchmaking and date-coaching sessions via Skype. Simply make a donation of $1,250 and you’re guaranteed the full dating package.

“There are tons more single women in NYC, and tons more single men in SF,” explains the company’s crowdfunding site via Bloomberg. “And, see, the two cities are only separated by a bunch of crappy airports, flight delays, and cheap roundtrip flights.”

In an effort to streamline the process—and bridge the gap between coastal singles—Bay Area bachelors can pay to attend the casual daytime bash or the more refined cocktail party. They also have the opportunity to register for three 30-minute matchmaking and coaching sessions.

So far, the company has raised $3,240, but is aiming for $50,000. A pretty penny sure, but hey, love lasts a lifetime.
