Haute 100 Update Miami: Gloria Estefan Named Grand Marshal Of Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade

In only six years, the Miami Beach Gay Pride has grown from a neighborhood event to a world-renowned celebration complete with A-list celebrities and over 80,000 attendees. It’s only natural that two extraordinary members of both the entertainment industry and the LGBT-friendly community were selected as the Grand Marshals of the parade. Award-winning singer, actress, entrepreneur and Haute 100-lister Gloria Estefan will be joined by acclaimed American film and television producer, director and choreographer Kenny Ortega as Pride’s fearless leaders.

Estefan will lead the parade in a vintage Rolls Royce convertible, from which she will greet an expected record number of revelers. A beloved resident of South Florida, Estefan is a strong proponent of the LGBT community and her undeniable mass appeal is expected to draw a huge crowd.

Co-Grand Marshall Kenny Ortega is one of America’s first openly gay television personalities. His achievements in his career, as well as his active support of the LGBT community, made him a perfect choice for the revered title.

The Miami Beach Gay Pride parade and festival will take place on April 13 along Ocean Drive between 5^th and 7^th streets.
