Celebrate Mardi Gras with the Pimps of Joytime in Snowmass

Hike up before getting down, that’s the itinerary for Mardi Gras in Snowmass. The celebration begins with the Mother of All Ascensions uphill race on Snowmass Mountain at 7 a.m. Then the activities take to the Snowmass Village mall with a mid-afternoon bead toss and parade, followed by funk-rockers the Pimps of Joytime from 5 to 7 p.m. It all ends with a bang, as evening fireworks go off at 7 p.m. to honor the raucous event that’s taken place in Snowmass for 32 years.
