Haute 100 LA Update: Rachel Zoe Cancels NY Fashion Week Show; Reschedules for LA

With NY Fashion Week just mere weeks away, Rachel Zoe has been forced to cancel her upcoming show.

The stylist to the stars was set to show her latest collection on Feb. 13 at The Salon at Lincoln Center, but, after giving birth to son Kaius Jagger in December, had to make some quick decisions with the best interests of her family in mind.

“While I look forward to New York Fashion Week each season, I’ve made the difficult decision to move our fall 2014 runway show from Feb. 13 in New York to a later date in Los Angeles. As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me, and I’m unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York,” she said.

This will be the first time since she started showing in New York in February 2011 that Zoe will be absent from Manhattan’s fashion extravaganza.

When her new collection does show in LA (hallelujah for Angelenos!), expect to see duds inspired by 60s-era Paris; a combination of “French bohemia with Mod elements” that include tailored jackets, Mod shifts, houndstooth, plaid and textured tweeds.
