Double Black Noodle Bar Opens in Snowmass

Wildwood Snowmass

Those on the hunt for swimming noodles and spicy potstickers have to look no further than the new restaurant inside the Wildwood Snowmass. Here, the Double Black Noodle Bar recently opened, offering Japanese-style ramen in a casual and comfy restaurant with hip decor that matches the hotel’s groovy digs.

Rubberband-clipboard menus list the shareable plates, along with noodle and rice dishes. Entree options include the Singapore chicken bowl, a spicy red curry dish that gets the heart racing, and the veggie-friendly green bowl which combines mushrooms, bok choy and broccoli rabe for a healthy, yet filling option. Share finger foods like the moist beef yakatori and crab rangoon. And if you’re still hungry? Doughnut balls with chocolate fondue should do the trick.

The laid-back vibe means kids can play arcade games while parents sip ginger-pear mojitos at the wrap-around bar. A trio of wall clocks in the corner reminds patrons of the times in Snowmass, New York and Tokyo, even though no one is necessarily watching.

Double Black Noodle Bar, on the second floor of the hotel, is a fun alternative to some of the higher-end options in the neighborhood. The Willdwood is owned by the adjacent Westin Snowmass, which features the upscale Snowmass Kitchen, and it’s a nice complement to the on-property restaurants while also serving as a great excuse for anyone in the neighborhood to stop by.
