
Carole DeSanti, Karen Joy Fowler Take Winter Words Stage


Two female fiction writers, Carole DeSanti and Karen Joy Fowler, take center stage on Tuesday for the fourth conversation in the Aspen Writers’ Foundation’s Winter Words series. The women will discuss the female identity, fictional inspiration and their own novels; Fowler penned the New York Times best-selling “The Jane Austen Book Club” and “We are All Completely Besides Ourselves,” among others. DeSanti is the debut author of “The Unruly Passions of Eugénie R.” and the vice president and editor-at-large of Viking Penguin. Both women are widely acclaimed and the recipients of numerous awards.
DeSanti and Fowler speak at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Paepcke Auditorium. Tickets are $20 and available at Aspen Show Tix. The rest of Winter Words includes Tom Reiss (March 19) and Maria Semple (March 31).
