Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Returns for Presidents’ Day Weekend
Choreographer Nicolo Fonte has created more commissioned pieces for Aspen Santa Fe Ballet than for anyone else in the world. This weekend, the Aspen-based group will premiere his eighth work for the company, Feb. 14 and 15. The exuberant piece, “Heart(s)paces” is more light-hearted than Fonte’s typical works, but he assures it doesn’t sacrifice the edgy approach for which he’s known.
Also showing is Cayetano Soto’s popular, “Beautiful Mistake” and Norbert de la Cruz’s striking “Fold by Fold.”
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 15, and ASFB will host an “Encore!” performance March 29. All shows are at the Aspen District Theatre. For information and tickets, visit Aspen Santa Fe Ballet.
