Alif Art Gallery Shows at ‘Avenue at Etihad Towers’
Alif Art Gallery, specializing in art from Central Asia, is exhibiting work at ‘Avenue at Etihad Towers’ for the second time. Among the works exhibited is Northern Song, a piece by Uzbek artist Timur Ernst Akhmedov revealing an enchanting forest landscape that is akin to the image of a tapestry woven from tree branches.
Akhmedov has exhibited his work internationally at venues in Russia, Uzbekistan and the UK. His work is also displayed in a variety of international private and corporate collections including those of musician Seal, Dr. M.W.J. Smurfit and His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco.
Dubai-based Alif Art Gallery was founded by Natalya Andakulova to promote an understanding of Central Asia’s rich art culture in the Middle East and beyond. Exhibitions such as this one further promote a dialogue between the arts of Central Asia and the Middle East.
The exhibition runs until 13 February 2014. For more information visit www.alifartgallery.ae
