2014 amfAR New York Gala
Manhattan’s A-list gathered at Cipriani Wall Street on Feb. 5 to support amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, at its annual New York Gala. In an effort to find a cure for AIDS by 2020, the organization kicked off its “Countdown to a Cure” initiative and successfully raised $1.7 million for medical research programs. Liam Neeson made a surprise appearance at the star-studded event to present Vanessa Redgrave and Joely Richardson, the mother and sister of the late, beloved amfAR Trustee, Natasha Richardson, with amfAR’s Award of Courage. Legendary fashion photographer, Peter Lindbergh, was also honored for his exceptional contributions to the global struggle against HIV/AIDS.
