Haute 100 Update Miami: Pitbull To Pen Official World Cup Song To Be Performed With JLo and Claudia Leitte
More than 3.2 billion people around the world will be watching when Pitbull, Brazilian singer Cluadia Leitte and Jennifer Lopez take to the stage to perform We Are One (Ola Ola), 2014 FIFA World Cup’s new official song in Brazil later this year. The tune will be written and co-produced by Pitbull, a chart-topping Miami artist whose music reaches a mix of hip-hop, rap, Latin and mainstream pop audiences like no other.
The tournament which will be held June 12 to July 13 and excitement for a Brazilian World Cup is at a fever pitch. Brazil has taken home four World Cups, the most out of all the 35 countries who compete. The last World Cup was held in 2010 in South Africa and Shakira wrote and performed Waka Waka for the global extravaganza. With this year’s selection of Pitbull, he’s definitely living up to his nickname “Mr. Worldwide.”
