Alexander Wang Will Show at Brooklyn Navy Yard During NYFW
Alexander Wang is showing some love for Brooklyn. The acclaimed fashion designer recently announced his plans leave Manhattan’s Pier 94 and show his latest collection at the Brooklyn Navy Yard during New York Fashion Week.
This year, Wang will debut his designs on Feb. 8 at 8:30 p.m. at the Duggal Greenhouse on the East River between Vinegar Hill and Clinton Hill. Though Wang hasn’t revealed his reasoning for changing locales, he is the third prominent fashion designer to depart from the Lincoln Center tents this season. Diane von Furstenberg and Michael Kors both recently announced their decision to show their new collections at Spring Studios at 50 Varick Street in TriBeCa.
To accommodate the change in venue, Wang reportedly switched time slots with fellow designer and friend, Joseph Altuzarra, who will now show his collection at 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
