Steve Aoki, Weezer, The Flaming Lips Take Belly Up Stage in Coming Week

The Flaming Lips

Christmas comes early and keeps giving when it comes to live music in Aspen this week, with an all-star lineup slated to play the intimate music venue. On Saturday, Dec. 21, Grammy-nominated producer and electronic artist Steve Aoki–ranked among the country’s top DJs–kicks things off with what’s sure to be a party of a show.

American punk-rockstars Weezer play back-to-back nights Dec. 27 and 28, followed by a DJ set featuring Moby on Dec. 29. All of that is just warm-up for two nights of The Flaming Lips, which Rolling Stone ranked as one of the country’s best concerts to ring in 2014. In previous years, the Wayne Coyne-led band has performed epic shows in Aspen leading up to New Year’s Eve, but this year they leave their native Oklahoma to celebrate in the Rocky Mountains.

If that’s not enough, keep on dancing into January with Datsik on Jan. 1 and two nights of the Grammy-nominated rockers The National, Jan. 2 and 3.
