Scene: The 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards
Awards season has officially begun! Hollywood’s finest filmmakers, actors and creative talents including Harrison Ford, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Matthew McConaughey, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jerry Weintraub, Chris Cooper, Lee Daniels and Richard Linklater were honored at the 17th annual Hollywood Film Awards Oct. 21 at the Beverly Hilton. Coldplay received the Hollywood Song Award for their hit “Atlas” from Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. After accepting the award on behalf of his band, lead singer Chris Martin gave a soaring solo performance of the song. Samsung was the evening’s sponsor; champagne was provided by Moët & Chandon.
