Sport Obermeyer founder Klaus Obermeyer turned 94 on Monday, celebrating with his iconic yodel and a swim at the Aspen Meadows, local newspapers reported. The Aspen icon moved to town in 1947 and quickly launched his skiwear apparel line. He is credited with creating prototypes of the down jacket and mirrored sunglasses.

On his birthday, he rang in another year with friends and family at the Obermeyer headquarters at the Aspen Business Center. Obermeyer still tries to ski often, and attributes staying “young” with keeping moving.
