Haute Yacht of the Week: Andrey Melnichenko’s “A”

Named for the first initial of its owners, Andrey and Aleksandra Melnichenko “A” is a luxury motor yacht designed by Philippe Starck and Martin Francis, and constructed by Blohm + Voss at the HDW shipyard in Kiel, Germany.It is one of the largest motor yachts in the world, at 390 feet.

As for the inside, designer Starck had 24,000 square feet of interior space to work with where he spared no expense (Baccarat Crystal is used for all dining ware, as well as some furniture) and is even rumored to have designed a special hidden room for some risque romps behind mirrored panels.
