Stewart Rahr Donates $150,000 To Mourning Family Foundation Buying Hebru Brantley Paintings

Haute Living And Hublot Celebrate The Art Of Fusion With Hebru Brantley On Star Island

At a Hublot event for Art Basel this weekend, billionaire Stewart Rahr purchased two Hebru Brantley paintings at an auction raising money for Alonzo Mourning’s Mourning Family Foundation. The total for the two paintings was $150,000, with one painting being $70,000 and the other $80,000. “The Mourning Family Foundation depends on people like Stewart Rahr and their gracious giving to help the youth of Miami. We can’t thank Mr. Rahr enough for his donation; it was a special night, said Alonzo Mourning.

Brantley, who is the toast of the town in his hometown of Chicago, was on hand to support the auction at the luxurious event, which took place on Star Island amid a crowd of celebrities like Lenny Kravitz, Eva Longria and Jared Leto. Clearly Brantely’s selection of work (which was curated by rapper Swizz Beatz.) Rahr (pictured below) declined to be photographed, insisting the ladies who helped him do the bidding get their moment in the sun (shown above,) showing he’s not just generous with his money, but media attention too!
