Bamford Watch Department Unveils Marc Quinn Collaboration at Art Basel Miami
This week the Bamford Watch Department unveiled a limited edition extension of their Marc Quinn collaboration. The result is the series Red Ocean Orbit (Pacific) Milgauss.
The Bamford Watch Department, which customizes sports watches, had originally collaborated with the British artist on “Altitude” pieces based on the Rolex Deepsea. The new series is modeled on the eminently popular Milgauss and features the Bamford Watch Department’s brand new grey Carbon Nano Vapour coating.
The Bamford Watch Department x Marc Quinn Red Ocean Orbit (Pacific) Milgauss will be limited edition to just 15 pieces, and will be available exclusively from the Bamford Watch Department, Lane Crawford (www.lanecrawford.com) in Hong Kong and The Webster (www.thewebstermiami.com) in Miami. The price is available upon request.
George Bamford, the founder of BWD, commented, “We are delighted to be able to show the world our new CNV (Carbon Nano Vapour) coating for the first time. We knew that we had to launch it on this watch, as the color of the case harks back to some of Marc’s recent sculptures, while the color of the dial invokes some of Marc’s newest pieces, perfectly fusing past, present and future in one striking timepiece”.
