Scarpetta’s Chef Scott Conant Releases New Cookbook Causing Global Mouth Watering
After the South Beach Wine & Food Festival last year, I have a newfound respect for chefs and am quite enamored by their culture. Last night I had the opportunity to meet Scott Conant, the uber handsome brains and talent behind the Scarpetta brand. As you know, in Miami, Scarpetta is located at the Fontainebleau hotel and has gotten much attention lately because it’s head chef Nina Compton is still competing in the Bravo series this season.
So, if you did not know, he recently released “The Scarpetta Cookbook,” which of course is jam-packed with delicious Conant recipes for you to attempt to prepare at home. Last night I was given the opportunity to experience a prix fixe dinner with different options that are not available on the daily menu. Each choice was specially prepared by Chef Conant and Chef Compton, straight out of the magical cookbook that he was also signing for guests who attended the intimate dinner. I suggest you purchase and attempt at your own risk, but remember, if you can’t do it, there is always the chic restaurant with a menu that is constantly evolving depending upon the season.
Chef Conant tells me “I come to Miami as often as possible, I love it here and have had a place here for ten years.”
