Haute 100 LA Update: Magic Johnson to Host Hollywood Fundraiser for Obama
Barack Obama is going to experience a little Hollywood magic when he comes to Tinseltown later this month.
That magic will come courtesy of Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who will host a reception for the president at his home on Nov. 25.
The LA Dodgers owner and his wife Cookie will host the gathering, which costs $2,500 a head, though for $15,000 you can get your photographer taken with the commander-in-chief.
Senate majority leader Harry Reid and House minority leader Nancy Pelosi will also attend the gathering, as will DCCC chairman Steve Israel and DSCC chairman Michael Bennet.
Other events for the president while he’s in town include a fundraising dinner at the Beverly Hills home of Cheryl and Haim Saban and a roundtable discussion at the home of Friends creator Marta Kauffman and her husband, Michael Skloff which will be hosted by Melanie Griffith.
