Haute 100 LA Update: Brad Pitt + Angelina Jolie Auction Off Barrel of Wine for Charity

Saint Angelina (Jolie) has done yet another charitable deed.

A barrel of organic wine produced by the A-list actress and partner Brad Pitt’s French winery, Chateau Miraval, has been auctioned off for $13,000, with the funds going to support an agricultural project in Africa.

Winegrowers in the village of Correns, where Pitt and Jolie have their chateau organized the Wednesday evening sale as part of an annual auction to raise funds for the Democratic Republic of Congo, and donated to an agricultural cooperative which aims to teach young people about sustainable farming.

The barrel of wine was the top seller at the event. The 60-gallon cask, which holds approximately 300 bottles, was also signed by the couple; it was purchased by  local wine merchant Vins Breban.
