More than 30 inches of snow has fallen in the past month, with 10 of those falling last night in the Aspen/Snowmass area. Though the resort doesn’t officially open until Nov. 28, on Thanksgiving, snowmaking and preparation for the season has already begun–with the help of Mother Nature. Crews are busy bootpacking the mountains at higher elevations, getting ready for opening just 29 days from now.
