She’s been called a Jill of all trades, a master of entertaining, and now, an interior decorating aficionado. But one thing is clear: Martha Stewart is the lifestyle queen. And so the question remains… is there anything Martha can’t do? “Hang gliding,” she tells Haute Living with a laugh. We assume that’s only because the opportunity has yet to arrive.

On Tuesday October 15th, Stewart and Andy Cohen co-hosted the 2nd annual American Made awards at Grand Central’s historic Vanderbilt Hall to honor artisans and entrepreneurs from across the country. “I think it’s great that we are celebrating creativity and inventiveness,” gushed the Bravo television personality. “It’s a beautiful day.”

A gracious Stewart was happy to offer entertaining tips for the quickly approaching holiday season. “The keys to throwing a great party are friendly people and delicious food,” she said with a smile. With a plethora of mastered dishes and successful holiday menus under her belt, Stewart couldn’t pinpoint a favorite dish in particular, but it’s surmised that her holiday table will include fresh vegetables from the garden of her New York estate.

In her spare time, the 72-year-old New Yorker supports various charitable organizations like Friends of The Hudson River Park, The ASPCA and St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. “I feel honored that I’m in a position to do that,” she revealed.

Other notable attendees included the stunning Christie Brinkley, The Chew’s Carla Hall and former New York Housewife and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel.
