Elephant Revival Set to Play Outdoor Concert on Thanksgiving Weekend
Hopefully, on Nov. 28 there will be snow for which to be thankful. That’s the day–Thanksgiving–on which both Aspen and Snowmass ski resorts open for the winter season. The holiday weekend marks the official kick-off to the ski and snowboard season, with several days full of events including a Thanksjibbing competition on Friday, Nov. 29, and a free outdoor concert by Elephant Revival on Saturday, Dec. 30.
Regional riders will compete on rail slides and snow features at 2 p.m. in Snowmass on Friday during Thanksjibbing. Then, the Colorado-based bluegrass quintet Elephant Revival will play in Aspen’s gondola plaza on Saturday at 6 p.m.
“Opening weekend is always an exciting time for this community”, says John Rigney, VP of Sales & Events, Aspen Skiing Company. “We’re happy to kick off the year with some fun events and great live music available to locals and guests alike.”
