WP24 Creates Special 10-Course Tasting Menu for Chinese New Year

Wolfgang Puck is welcoming in the Year of the Horse with a special 10-course tasting menu at his tony WP24 Restaurant and Lounge.

The Austrian master chef invites guests to bid farewell to the Year of the Snake with a menu that’s heavy on good fortune symbolism.

The noodles he’ll serve will reflect longevity, dumplings prosperity, duck happiness and fidelity, fish brings abundance, and oranges promote wealth and prosperity.

The menu, which is available Jan. 31, 2014 through February 14, 2014, features Crispy Daikon Cake with char siu Pork Belly and Hoisin; Crispy Red Snapper with garlic soy glaze, budding chives and wok vegetables; Whole Roasted Peking Duck with the traditional garnishes; SRF American Kobe with Shanghai noodles and two decadent desserts.

The lounge at WP24 will also feature a “Wild Horse” cocktail, crafted with corn Whiskey, mint, lemon and soda.

Additionally, the WP24 dining room will feature a classic “Wishing Tree” adorned with red envelopes. Each diner will select an envelope which will contain a proverb, special message or gift, such as a spa treatment at The Ritz-Carlton Spa or an overnight stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.
