A female stylist and a male lawyer, who based on my assumption, likely do not know one another, have each opened a destination designated to the fashionista and the fashionisto. Brand new, fierce, fresh and fabulous, meet Melissa Mosheim of MVM and Ariel Burman of Cottage.
Ariel is East, Melissa is West. Berlin? Nope, I’m talking about Sunset Harbour versus Wynwood. Contemporary? Nope, I’m talking designer.
So, let’s start with Ariel, the handsome young and retired ESQ (yes, young!) that I met at his ‘Cottage’ shop last weekend, and I’m not one to generally find the young’uns handsome. His good look, matches the extremely fine-tuned décor of the space. Every carefully curated item in the shop had me envisioning my future husband in it allllll. Located across from the Fresh Market where the original Tomas Maier shop once stood, I feel Tomas would approve of Cottage, and that speaks volumes. Cottage will outfit the dapper gentleman in everything from button downs, T-shirts, jeans, chinos, sneakers, shoes, travel bags, wallets, bracelets, shorts, sweaters, men’s grooming and specialty books from brands such as APC, Band of Outsiders, Baxter of California, Mollusk, Saturdays Surf NYC, Sunspel, lex Mill, Armando Cabral, Billy Reid, Catherine Zadeh, Cuisse de Grenouille, Folk, Monsieur Lacenaire, Officine Generale, Ovadia and Sons, Stubbs & Wootton, Todd Snyder, WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie and Xarifa. Enough said?

Then lets head West to Wynwood where MVM brought to you by Stylist Melissa Mosheim will open her one stop shop / haven for ladies. “After styling for years, I decided to open MVM Miami and am so excited for what the future has to offer. Wynwood’s combination of artists and entrepreneurs has provided a great sense of community; I love being able to pass that constant creative vibe along to shoppers.”
Mosheim has decided to take over a 1,300sq ft. space in Wynwood where she will carry brands like 10 Crosby Derek Lam, Smythe, Michael Lauren, Boundary and Friends and Associates. There will also be accessories including jewelry, handbags, hats, scarves, sunglasses and swimwear by designers like Marie Laure Chamorel, Base Project, HOWL, Dafne, Lacey Ryan, Monserat de Lucca and Lanvin.
