Steven Spielberg is being honored with the 2013 Records of Achievement Award in Washington D.C. this fall.

The Oscar winner is being feted for how vividly he reimagined the life of Abraham Lincoln on the silver screen in his film Lincoln.

The award, which is presented by the Foundation of the National Archives, honors those whose work have brought interest and awareness to key historic moments in America’s history through the usage of original records.

The Nov. 19 is being chaired by D.C. documentary filmmaker Ken Burns and will fall on the 150th anniversary of President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.
