Haute 100 LA Update: Robert Pattinson to Star in James Dean Biopic
Robert Pattinson’s latest project has been announced, and it’s confirmed that he’ll star in a biopic about the life of James Dean.
The rub: though he has Dean’s heartthrob looks, Pattinson won’t be playing the rebel without a cause.
The 27-year-old actor will portray Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock in the film, which is actually about the real-life friendship between Dean and Stock.
Dane DeHaan will play Dean.
The film is being directed by Anton Corbijn; Iain Canning and Emile Sherman — the producing team behind the Oscar-winning drama The King’s Speech — are producing Life via their See Saw Films.
The movie will tentatively be shot in early 2014.
