Boosting its already robust philanthropic profile Gucci maintains its Chime For Change enterprise, donating three of their most coveted handbags to an online auction hosted by Christie’s. All the proceeds for the weeklong auction ending on September 30th will go straight to Gucci’s Chime For Change charity. Taking advantage of its global brand, Gucci uses the charity to raise money for the education, health and justice of women.

Clare Borthwick of Christie’s vintage couture and accessories department declared, “We are honored to support Chime For Change, which aims to help improve quality of life for women around the world, by collaborating with Gucci on the sale of these three unique handbags.”

The bags featured in the auction span the Gucci product line. The New Bamboo Bag starting at $6,390 features a handmade bamboo handle with over 130 separate bamboo pieces, along with the classic Gucci snakeskin leather print.  The second bag, also priced at $6,390, is inspired by fashion icon Jackie Onassis and is appropriately deemed the New Jackie Bag. The New Jackie Bag would be the perfect fall shoulder bag. To complete the desirable collection, the Soft Stirrup Bag is an ode to the 1975 classic structured bag that flew out of stores. The bidding starts at $1,600 for the slouchy chic bag.
