Haute 100 LA Update: Ron Howard’s Formula One Feature ‘Rush’ to Open Zurich Film Festival

Ron Howard‘s Formula One film Rush has been announced as the opener for the upcoming Zurich International Film Festival.

The drama stars Chris Hemsworth as iconic British race car driver James Hunt.

The film follows his 1976 battle to the top against Austrian driver Niki Lauda, played onscreen by Daniel Bruhl.

Rush, penned by Frost/Nixon scribe Peter Morgan, also co-stars Alexandra Maria Lara and Olivia Wilde.

The movie will make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and air during the Swiss event on Sept. 26.
