Thousands of guests invaded Palms Pool for Ditch Fridays to watch Grammy Award-winning singer Ne-Yo take center stage in his hometown of Las Vegas.
Dressed in black, red, and white from head-to-toe, Ne-Yo rocked a Los Angeles Dodger cap, tee-shirt, leather shorts and Nike tennis shoes. Upon arrival at his VIP booth, the soulful singer noshed on Buffalo wings with French fries from Heraea and sipped on a Malibu Red and cranberry juice cocktail.
Before his set, the R&B star, hung out with Palms resident deejay Mark Stylz behind the DJ booth, dancing and waving to fans. Ne-Yo was all smiles when the day club’s gorgeous bikini-clad cocktail waitresses made their way to the front of the stage and sprayed the crowd with champagne.
The party ignited when Ne-Yo hit the stage full-force to say, “I’ve never drank alcohol before and performed, let’s see what happens,” before belting out his hit song “Closer.”
Ne-Yo kept the energy high, interacting with the crowd by grabbing fans hands and instructing them to sing along. The Las Vegas native performed hits such as “Give Me Everything Tonight” and “Let Me Love You” before asking the crowd what his last song should be. Partygoers went wild and by crowd response, Ne-Yo performed “Miss Independent.”
Before heading back to his VIP booth, Ne-Yo gave his Ditch Fridays souvenir cup that he had been drinking out of to a set of admiring fans at the front of the stage who both then proceeded to try and grab the straw as fast as possible to drink out of it right away.
Legendary adult entertainer Ron Jeremy was spotted in the crowd sipping piña coladas while enjoying the performance.
