Where to Celebrate a Haute Fourth of July
Ah, the fourth of July—America’s favorite summer pastime. In between the afternoon parades, Americana tanks and Star Spangled Banner remixes, the list of ways to celebrate our nation’s birthday is never-ending. Skybar at the Mondrian Hotel

What better way to ring in the summer holiday than on the roof of the Mondrian Hotel with some of the best views in town. Skybar will be having a special summer barbecue from noon to 6 p.m. that’s open to both hotel and non-hotel guests. RSVP at skybarla@mhgc.com. Early arrival is suggested.

From 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Superba Snack Bar is featuring a special fourth of July barbecue menu that includes a twist on summer time favorites such as a pulled bacon sandwich with apple slaw on sesame brioche and a Thai-style glazed pork shoulder.
Hollywood Bowl
2301 N. Highland Ave.
There are fireworks shows and then there are FIREWORKS SHOWS. The Hollywood Bowl fireworks show has become a famous spectacle in the city of angels in one of the most celebrated cultural venues in the nation. This year, Josh Groban is headlining the holiday concert.

Skinny girl pina coladas, Carolina-style ribs and pulled pork, frozen cocktails on a stick and a DJ are among the many treats at the Viceroy’s poolside barbecue.
SLS Hotel
465 S. La Cienega Blvd.
The SLS Hotel’s rooftop Altitude Pool & Lounge will host its holiday pool party from 2pm to 6pm with a live DJ. RSVP to altitudepool@sbe.com. Additionally, the SLS Hotel will be offering spa and salon promotions throughout the month of July from Monday through Friday, such as the Sparkle & Salon promo at $130, which includes a blow dry, one-hour massage, and mani/pedi at Ciel Spa.
