Tom Cruise proved that he’s not just an action star on the big screen over the weekend when he sailed a 72-foot catamaran during the Louis Vuitton Cup over the weekend.
The 51-year-old actor and his son Connor took turns at the helm of the Emirates Team New Zealand boat after Sunday’s race in San Francisco.
One crew member dubbed Cruise “a natural.”
The Mission: Impossible star and his son attended the race as guests of one of Team New Zealand’s sponsors. Naturally, they watched the races from a special VIP boat.
Team New Zealand team is favored to face billionaire Larry Ellison’s Oracle Team USA in the America’s Cup finals beginning Sept. 7.
