Serena Williams Hosts the BNP Taste of Tennis in NYC
On August 22, Serena Williams will host the 14th Annual BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis. As the world’s premier culinary and tennis experience, this special evening brings professional athletes, influential chefs, luxury brands and the entertainment industry together for a unique tasting event with a sports twist. The ultimate kick-off celebration before the US Open in New York City, the Taste is the perfect convergence of sports fans and foodies. Produced by AYS, Taste of Tennis and its sister event, Taste of Tennis Australia, have become the most widely recognized and anticipated events on the yearly calendar.
The event has attracted names such as Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali, Tyler Florence and Giada de Laurentiis. This fall’s BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis continues the tradition of featuring many incredible chefs, which includes veterans who have been honored by the James Beard Foundation, someone who was listed as one of the “Most Influential Americans.” Eight of the Taste chefs have served as judges and/or contestants on “Top Chef,” “Top Chef Masters,” “Chopped” and “Iron Chef.” The event also presents the very best of a new generation of up-and-coming culinary artists. Forbes included one of their chefs on the prestigious “30 Under 30” list while Details Magazine named him one of “America’s Best Young Chefs.” Another was named “The People’s Best New Chef” and the list goes on and on…
