Haute 100 LA Update: Reese Witherspoon to Star in Cheryl Strayed Memoir ‘Wild’
Reese Witherspoon is certainly into her book adaptations.
The Southern star has signed on to produce and star in the big screen adaptation of Cheryl Strayed‘s memoir “Wild”.
She’ll portray the author, who hiked the 1,000 Pacific Crest trail all alone, grieving for her mother’s death and a failed relationship.
The 2012 became a bestseller when Oprah Winfrey revived her book club in its honor.
“High Fidelity” scribe and Oscar nominee Nick Hornby has written the film’s screenplay.
