After a successful inaugural season this past April, Fashion Forward returns to Dubai this October with a more developed program of events and designers.
Fashion Forward’s Season Two will see the expansion of the event’s academic and developmental side through further focus on the mentorship of emerging designers as well as engagement with the wider sectors of the fashion industry.
Fashion Forward’s commitment to fashion and the development of emerging talent has been praised by Dubai Design District (D3), a new creative community dedicated to fostering the growth of the Emirate’s design, luxury and fashion industry. “We see Fashion Forward as a key industry partner working with D3 to nurture emerging regional talent and maximise the potential of the design, luxury and fashion industry,” said Dr Amina Al-Rustamani, Group CEO of TECOM Investments, the developers and operators of D3. “Businesses and individuals working in these sectors will contribute greatly to the diversification of Dubai’s knowledge economy.”
The definitive fashion platform for Dubai and the Middle East, Fashion Forward (FFWD) provides a platform and a progressive direction for fashion. Key components of FFWD include catwalk presentations by established and emerging designers in the Middle East, the Fashion Forum – an educational module to foster industry discussion, and an awards programe to recognize regional pioneers. FFWD is a biannual event delivered by Brag, one of region’s most renowned live marketing agencies.
