Rumors didn’t keep Scott Weiland from tearing up the stage Saturday night at the Pearl at the Palms on Saturday night. Performing as Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, one of the most theatrical front men in rock put on a high energy show that included songs from Stone Temple Pilots’ albums Core (1992) and Purple (1994) with the Purple At The Core tour.

This tour marks the first time as a solo artist Weiland performed songs from those notable STP albums, considered classics by the band’s fans. In addition to featuring songs from Core and Purple, Weiland and his band’s set list drew from his solo material as well as tracks from Velvet Revolver.

Considered one of the most galvanizing and energetic live front men around, Weiland’s songwriting and vocals have fueled sales of more than 40 million albums worldwide, multiple world tours and a fistful of awards.
