Haute Event: Soccer Stars Dine at Hakkasan to Kick Off the Westwood Cup Golf Tournament

Some of the most elite stars from world football, including the former AC Milan star Andriy Shevchenko, Manchester City’s James Milner, West Bromwich Albion’s James Morrison, Patrik Berger and Vladmir Smicer of the Czech Republic, Sunderland’s Adam Johnson, Nicklas Bendnter from Juventu, Kevin Phillips from Crystal Palace F.C. and more attended a welcome dinner and launch event at the newly opened Hakkasan at the MGM Grand to kick off the “Ryder Cup Style” golf tournament, in which the players competed for the inaugural Westwood Cup.

The guests dined on signature Hakkasan dishes, including the steamed dim sum platter, crispy duck salad, silver cod with champagne and Chinese honey and stir fly black pepper ribeye beef with merlot. They also ordered Las Vegas-specific dishes created by Michelin-starred executive chef Ho Chee Boon including the crispy roasted duck with kumquat and mustard sauce and the steamed red snapper in spicy assam sauce.

Following the dinner, guests went on to party the night away at the Ling Ling Lounge and the Ling Ling Club, dancing to DJ Jace One. Upstairs in the club’s main room DJs R3hab and Zen Freeman kept the night going.
