CHANEL recently celebrated the opening of its new London flagship store located on 158-159 New Bond Street. The event included a private view of the boutique followed by an intimate dinner at Harry’s Bar on South Audley Street.
The store showcases the universe created by Karl Lagerfeld including ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and costume jewelry. The 12,600 square foot boutique also houses an edited selection of watches and fine jewelry, as well as fragrance and beauty. It was designed by long time Chanel collaborator New York architect Peter Marino.
The even saw Maureen Chiquet, CEO of CHANEL and Bruno Pavlovsky, President of CHANEL Fashion, join Marino and VIPs for drinks and canapés in the boutique where highlights from the 2012-13 Métiers d’art Paris-Edimbourg collection, first presented at Linlithgow Palace in December 2012, were shown.
Guests included Stella Tennant, Amanda Harlech, Tallulah Harlech, Thandie Newton, Amber Anderson, Poppy Delevingne, Edie Campbell, Jacquetta Wheeler, Yasmin Le Bon, Elodie Yung, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Caroline Sieber, Laura Bailey, Julia Jarr Samois, Mary Charteris, Phoebe Collins James, Valentine Fillol Cordier, Zebra Katz, Mak Gilchrist, Agathe Chapman, Clara Paget, Bip Ling, Laura Hayden and Jasmine Guinness, who all wore Chanel RTW and accessories.
